Im using the best parts from 2 cheap guitars: Alfwood strat – Neck, Body, & trem bridge. Ibanez GRGR121EX – Pickups, electronics, and tuners. (both neck and bridge..) On the test im using a line6 spider III amp. set to ‘red’ metal-model. Drive is set to about 5, I’m using bridge-pickup, and this is how it sound when playing Highway to hell.. To plat ac/dc you dont need this much drive really.. The riffs i use is not the right ones, but not that far off either.

I’m playing “Shoot To Thrill” by AC/DC. I came across Justin Sandercoe’s AC/DC-videolesson/-competition two days ago and thought it was pretty cool, so I downloaded the backingtrack and learned the rythmparts. I improvised the solos, but a few places I remembered from the original song how to play it.

One of the great cheap guitars of ALL TIME! The G400, is honestly one of the best playing guitars I have ever owned. I put a HighOrder pickup in the bridge. Low output, a5 magnet, it has beautiful clarity, sustain, and just the right amount of grind. I wanted the AC DC thing to happen, and this pickup really delivers in that regard! The Univox 1246 B is an amp a buddy turned me on to. Lotta Marshall character, but less gain, and a bit more ‘kraanngg’ to it. Wonderful clarity, and has a lovely smoothness to it that I really enjoy. I a using a Weber Mass, Eminence GB12 loaded 2/12 cab, and an old Ibanez delay to add a touch of ‘liquidity’ to the noise.
