Blues Guitar Test

Trying to prove to a friend that cheap guitars can sound nice after fiddling with the intonation etc., and a reasonable amp. Not really that good at blue-rock but that’s the genre we were arguing about, sort of made up things as I went, and ran out of ideas haha. the sound is ok and a little dull as the amp is plugged straight into the computer – while the video was quick captured through a really old webcam, hence the jumpiness, sorry! If anyone would like to know how to play certain parts just say… Stuff: Guitar: Behringer iAXE393, Amp: Roland Cube A30, BOSS reverb, chair, pick, cable, clothes, room.

DI Test For Electric Guitars

This video is the testing sample for kevinmundarai-san’s request. He uses LINE6 POD XT.I don’t have it unfortunately. So I used LINE6 GUITARPORT for sound source instead. It uses PC as effect-DSP and DAC is 44.1kHZ/16bits. He’s considering AVALON DESIGN U5.But I thought some other DI should be added as samples to compare. All DI were Plugged into RME Fireface800 and all the sources were recorded by LOGIC PRO7.2. On Logic, added NO EFFECTS but only output level adjustment. The guitar is my custom-made Strato with Bartolini pick-ups. Ash body and no tremolo unit. All the sources were played on Rhythm pick-up(forward) and Lead pick-up(backward) The followings are the Table of contents : 1:DIRECT FROM GUITARPORT CLEAN Without DI,Direct to RME. Amp-simulator : “59Tweed Bassman” Gain=3,VOL=10,TONEs are all “5″(middle) 2:AVALON DESIGN U5 TONE=OFF CLEAN (OFF=BYPASS) 3:AVALON DESIGN U5 TONE=3 CLEAN U5 has 6Preset-Tone. I chose “3″ because it was natural. 4:RADIAL JDI MkIII This is a passive DI with JENSEN transformer.Sometime transformers are useful for reducing Digitalness. 5.LR.BAGGS PARA ACOUSTIC DI ClEAN This is for acoustic guitars. But I use it for E.Bass sometime.Much better than some Bass DI. 6:FULL TUBE DI CLEAN This is really “just sample” Because this DI was discontinued and maybe hard to find the “USED”. Named “Retrospec The Juice Box”. 7-12:”DRIVE” sounds. Amp-simulator is “‘68 Brit 50watt Plexi”(Marshall?) Gain,VOL=10 TONEs=all 5

Zoom h2 handyrecorder clean guitar test

This is a video i put together using windows movie maker.I had to convert the original quicktime movie with mediacoder so i could use it in WMM !! I recorded my cheap electric guitar Encore Les Paul copy and BB blaster 10 watt amplifier. These are very cheap (£130) and are ideal for just a hobbyist. The Zoom H2 handyrecorder is a great device used for recording musical instruments, podcasts, etc I synced the audio and video in WMM. My next video will be a distorted recording with this same setup and production.
